    No. What I believe is that your phone doesn't realize it's connected to your drone, hence why it works when you reinstall. Have you tried a different phone and checked?

    For some reason the app thinks the Tello has no battery left. Do you get video feed when this happens?

    By placing the controller or on screen joysticks in the 5 and 7 o'clock position ( \ ) ( / ) will engage the motors, but will not make the drone take off.

    So you are considering the Tello as a disposable camera of sorts. If you stay long enough, it may run out of battery and not return.

    No drone is silent. If you plan to use it for your investigations, you will be found out really fast.

    Warranty does not cover accidents. If that Tello is his son's, then most likely than not, it suffer a crash.

    Sorry. That is impossible. The Tello battery wont be able to power most of the parts of the Spark and if it does, you would need a firmware and software to tell the drone what to do with that part.

    I used to have a Galaxy Tablet that would drop the WiFi connection randomly like that. In the end after much trial and error I couldn't find a solution and ended up replacing the tablet.

    What about using a VPN and fooling the Google Play Store into thinking you are somewhere else?

    The reason VPS failed for OP is because while he was flying backwards, he probably flew over a non patterned place, where the VPS does not work. Most likely one of those red roofs. I have seen this while flying over water. If you fly with TelloFPV, by throttling up, it should cancel the auto...
