    Tello Tag tracker bluetooth...

Finally I got that video of my bluetooth tracker mod out:

    Tello A/C mod?

Even on long flights & hot days I haven' had any thermal issues. Only when it is switched on, on the ground for a longer period, the heatsink can't dissipate the heat. Your Tello might have a manufacturing defect, like missing thermal paste on the heatsink. Any other experiences / ideas?

    Tello Tag tracker bluetooth...

I did a few more test flights and ran into an issue I can't quite explain. When the app (both the "kindelf" and "iTracing") detects the loss of signal, I have no control over the tello for a little while (10 sec or so for which the Tello just hovers in mid air. - Haven't timed how long...

    Tello Tag tracker bluetooth...

The iTAG I use starts losing it's connection at around 10m. Interestingly a bluetooth scanner (nRF Connect) on my iPhone will detect the iTAG from somewhat further away than that. I still have one of my Tellos missing and I know it's position within 20m of dense shrub and trees. Easy if that one...

    Tello Tag tracker bluetooth...

The "anti lost cover" adds about 6g to the tello's weight. No noticeable effects on flight performance indoors. We'll have to see how it does outdoors. (Pretty pointless to fly indoors with that cover on.)

    Tello Tag tracker bluetooth...

What a coincidence! I am working on pretty much the same thing: I got myself the cheapest "bluetooth anti-lost tracker" I could find from China (around 2€) and took it's circuit board out. Bought a spare cover and hollowed that out as far as possible. Then made a cut-out for the module and...

    Hello from Germany!

Hi ademkagz, with a toy drone of the tello's minimal noise, light weight and limited range, you're unlikely to run into trouble even here in Germany. Chances are that your liability insurance has you covered. (Better check that, of course.) But it really takes some very bad luck (or stupidity)...

    18650 cell experiment

That solves that problem: With the extra weight of 58g, the the craft just barely manages to take off. The test was powered from the original battery, so it's weight will eventually go away. But the craft now is badly top-heavy. Turning the battery 90 degrees and mounting it underneath the...

    18650 cell experiment

And it seemed so easy to do in the CAD software. Well, I think it's back to the drawing board...

WIFI+S Range Extender vs Xiami WIFI Repeater and Tello Channel choice

That's an amazing setup. Can you post pics/details? (Or have I missed them in another thread?)

WIFI+S Range Extender vs Xiami WIFI Repeater and Tello Channel choice

And here is what I found out: The Wifi+ does not seem to be available. Although I had explicitly ordered that, I got a PixLink, of which I now have two. I used a Fluke Aircheck WiFi tester, and the PixLink had a somewhat stronger signal than the Xiaomi. But the first extended test flight with...

    New App: TelloMe for iOS

When following me uphill, the tello maxes out after I climbed 10 meters. I very well understand the 10m max. limit you have set in the app, but the way I use TelloMe, this is not ideal. Any plans to change that? (Possibly with a warning when setting the limit over 10m.)

    18650 cell experiment

This is interesting. I have two dead/bloated Tello battery packs. The cells are toast, but the circuitry is probably fine. Ryze states 3,8V in the manual for the cells. These HV cells can be charged (as Volate!lo wrote) to 4.35V (rather than 4.2 for the usual cells). There are HV versions of...

WIFI+S Range Extender vs Xiami WIFI Repeater and Tello Channel choice

Never mind. I simply ordered both, although it might take a looooooong time to get them delivered, given the current situation in China. Once I have them I'll report back.

WIFI+S Range Extender vs Xiami WIFI Repeater and Tello Channel choice

I just found out the hard way, that my Xiaomi Wifi Repeater 2 also suffers from random amnesia. From this thread I conclude that the WiFi+S and possibly the Pix-Link are well tested alternatives. The WiFi+S appears to be hard to get in Germany at the moment and I haven't seen any range tests for...
