Tello app crashes on Android P
I'm going back to Oreo for the moment as I keep my Tello in the car and have missed out on a couple of interesting places to fly because I didn't have my old S7 Edge with me as a backup.- dave

Tello app crashes on Android P
A note for anyone who is considering installing the developer preview of Android P. I've installed it (version is PPP2.180412.013) on my Pixel 2 XL and the Tello app won't launch. Clearing all data and forcing the app to stop doesn't help. On the plus side it does work with my Huawei P20 Pro...- dave

Overheating at rest
Mine also gives the overheating warning after a few minutes at rest. I figure it's such a compact design that there's not much room for heat dissipation with the battery sitting above the control board.- dave

Tello behavior when VPS unavailable
I put a post-it note over the sensors to test this and found I wandered but was manageable indoors.- dave

How to go beyond the 10m altitude
Can't you just stick some tape over the sensors? BRB giving this a try... Edit: Ok, I stuck a post-it over the sensors and took off indoors. The Tello wandered around a bit and complained that VPS wasn't available but I was able to fly around still so I'll try it outdoors at some point.- dave

The complex procedure for getting photos from the Tello app on my Android cell uploaded to an external HDD on my PC
That seems like a lot of hard work. I just said 'yes' when Google Photos asked me if I wanted include the newly created Tello folder in my cloud backups. Photos and videos are available online soon after taking them. Edit: If you want to share video stick it on Youtube and share the link here :)- dave
