    Is there a way to send commands/receive camera input by using USB?

    I don't believe you can, because when the hardware detects a USB connection it goes into power charge mode. Even if you disable that, there's nothing to say that port even accepts data. I bought the Tello purely for development purposes, and would love something like this.

    Generally not a decent enough current to make it a valid option. The better bet would be to focus on build a charging station.
