    That's odd, I'm using a G4 and it works perfectly. As similar as the phones are I would think the G4+ would work too.

    Welcome! Your experience is why I've never bought a drone before. If I flew a $1000 drone into a tree or lake or just watched it disappear I'd be physically sick. But a $99 Tello to play around with in the house and outside on nice days is a great way to learn. Best of luck with your Tello!

    I ordered two batteries from BH Photos. I got an email today saying that they had shipped. So I guess batteries are starting to come into stock.

    New to the drone world should I start with the Tello?

    The Tello is my first drone, loving it so far. Very steady in flight. I do fly it mostly indoors though, I try to stay out of the wind. I'm planning on saving that adventure until my flying skills are better.

    See my post above. My Essential phone didn't have video, just a black screen. Turning off the mobile data usage setting fixed it. Might be worth a try.
