    Tello Low Battery Life

Batteries are funny things. The Tello uses a LiPo. Anyone that has been involved in RC stuff knows that there are two states that they should be in. Fully charged or storage. Because there is no real charger that does the storage for Tello the life span will be impacted. Chances are it's just a...

Has disappeared screenrecording in Tello app?

Saw the same thing today :) You have to click the camera with the arrows. It switches between photo and video.

Repeater positioning and how it influences video quality [Concluded]

I am going to bet you are, like me, one of the early Rasp Pi adopters. I have used many over the years for computational stuff (Linux based) - pihole, vpn and media streaming. As soon as I realised there was a great community the thoughts started pinging everywhere. Rasp Pi with 4G and a VPN to...

    Good evening from Marston Moretaine

Thanks :) and yes - I have worked in IT for 30 years and have had many run ins with poorly implemented WiFi systems :D The coding part intrigues me but her mental attitude may not lend itself to it. She is pretty good with Unreal Engine 5 but that's a very visual thing for the most part and I...

    Fly while powered by cable

Tethered you should bypass the battery really. But then you need to give enough voltage and amps to power the device. LiPo batteries have a high discharge rate - this is probably where you are falling down. Most USB chargers are low amps but a LiPo can do stupid discharge. I used to own my own...

Repeater positioning and how it influences video quality [Concluded]

Perfectly said. I have been reading a lot as I'm new to drones but not tech (I am a very senior IT person with a lot of experience in many aspects and Wifi is one of them. I have watched videos where people have the repeater in their hand and I honestly despair but I guess they don't know how it...

Loss of WIFI signal at 15 meters Altitude

Most likely affected by high levels of 2.4ghz radio (wifi and bluetooth). Go to a field and try the same. It can also be down to the chipset and wifi ariel in your phone. Some are better than others.

    Good evening from Marston Moretaine

Hi all, New here - just signed up today. Got my Tello earlier this week. So far it's been a case of learning what apps are best and flying around my garden but I love her. It's a fun thing for me and my 9yo daughter who has ADHD to play with in the Summer mainly. I will probably look at...

Is it possible to set up a mesh WIFI network to extend the flying range?

I was looking into this but finding a mesh AP that you can run from a 12v battery pack is more of an issue for me and if you did it would probably be a poor mans Chinese one with nasty range. If a mesh network would work (and I see no reason why it wouldn't) you could setup a very large area...
