I'm not using IOS any more (since I ditched my iPhone 7+), so can't say for sure whether it's available for IOS or not, but the name of the app I'm referring to is aTelloPilot (all one word). And it's possible that using a bluetooth connection between your phone and controller; again, I can't...

You'll enjoy it. But I strongly advise you to cancel your order for the T1D and order the T1S as well as a USB On-The-Go (OTG) cable. The bluetooth connection between the controller and phone introduces a great deal of response and video lag. You will need to use aTelloPilot rather than the OEM...

    Wifi extender

That looks pretty much like a rebranded Xiaomi repeater that's just a different colour. I bet that is by the same manufacturer.

    Gamesir T1s

I think the most common mistake people are likely making is mistaking a regular USB cable for an OTG cable. You MUST use an OTG cable; a regular USB cable and a USB OTG cable look the same, but they are not. Generally an OTG cable will have "Host" marked on one end, which is the end that plugs...

Tello over my neighbourhood - my 1st outdoor excursion

I think there were a couple of things happening; bluetooth was still on (although I didn't have it connected to anything at the time) and also LTE was on and I think this was the culprit. Next time I'll put it in Airplane mode with just the wifi talking to the extender. Also, when I rotated to...

Tello over my neighbourhood - my 1st outdoor excursion

Took this video today; the little bird flies pretty well, even in a bit of a breeze. I added 4 stills at the end of the video. I use a Gamesir T1s tethered to my S9+. I was also using a Xiaomi Mi Wifi 2 range extender. I didn't do any distance testing, but had a very good signal and video...

    Gamesir T1s

In case you haven't already seen it, read this thread. Also, I suspect there is some lack of understanding regarding the difference between an OTG and a regular USB cable. OTG means that the cable (or adapter) is USB On the Go enabled. This is not a regular cable. Internally, pins are switched.

    Gamesir controller wired?

I certainly didn't have to root my S9+, and I would assume that any version of Android that supports USB OTG wouldn't need to be rooted. Unfortunately I can't say with certainty what is the earliest version that supports OTG, but that shouldn't be too difficult to determine using our friend Google.

    Gamesir controller wired?

Agreed. My T1s arrived yesterday and my OTG USB-C to micro USB arrived today. Plug and play with my Galaxy S9+. The phone basically thinks it's a mouse (HID device), so you need to map your buttons, but you can do this directly in the aTelloPilot app. There is no mapping function in the Tello...
