    Unusual motor problems

    Sometimes software updates mess things up. Try to redownload the software & force it. I just recently had a bunch of trouble with two tellos. It could be the controller mechanism if you’re using a game controller or your control app might be having issues. Let me know how it works out. Aloha

    Good job. I think I would have just tried to shake the tree. It’s worked (embarrassingly) a few times. Those little guys are tough.

    That’s rad and thank you for the responses. Personally, I prefer to just buy stuff that works so I will be sending this battery back but that is grey info for the future. I do most of my own repairs. I’m just about to change an arm on my inspire.

    I received a bad battery that won’t be charged in a multi battery charger so I decided to try to plug the Tello in with the battery in place. As it turns out, the blue light blinks SOS for the bad battery but good batteries are short continuous blinks.

    Updated firmware and now 2 tellos won’t take off...?

    I upgraded the firmware and had to calibrate the IMU on both birds but now they won’t take off. They take a long time to connect WiFi to my phone and won’t take off. The LED sequence seems normal but takes longer.

    Tello, batteries and Travel by air

    I bought a limo fireproof bag to travel with for about $12 on Amazon but you can get smaller and cheaper ones for a Tello. I had to get a larger one for my inspire batteries also. Apparently TSA really appreciates it. Batteries are carry on only.
