I was referring to the Tello FPV app offered in the Google Store for Android; as shown on YouTube, that particular app offers a “pseudo” return home feature which is what actually interests me.
DJI/Ryze (or some other developer) needs to develop an FPV app for the Tello. Why should Android users have all the fun??? I also think it wouldn’t be that difficult to add FPV to the standard Tello app by Ryze.
It seems to me that the only practical way to fly at night is with a GPS. Since the Tello only has a visual positioning system relying on the bottom hull housed cameras, the VPS will require ambient light to determine and maintain position.
I have not noticed a difference in photo or video quality although the quality is the same above an altitude of 50 feet. I purchased my charging hub directly from DJI.
Just updated the firmware on my new Tello and was able to raise the altitude limit; that option wasn’t available with the older version before the update. Thanks to all of you for the info:-)
Absolutely intrigued. Just purchased a Tello and am very impressed how capable it is for being so small and down right stealthy:-) Anything that can enhance it’s already impressive capabilities would be exciting!
