Im using tellofpv demo but dont want to pay for the non demo

The answer is obvious: If that was easy there would be plenty of apps. I spent a few thousand (!) hours on my apps. Thats why they are not free.

Im using tellofpv demo but dont want to pay for the non demo

I invest the time to adapt both app and store entry to meet google policies. Abandoned / orphaned projects are not updated and are removed by google. Just try to publish your own app and you will see

Im using tellofpv demo but dont want to pay for the non demo

All the other apps have been deleted by playstore for not being compliant with the ever changing policy requirements. There are two or three newer apps but I haven't checked them out. Tello is sadly obsolete old technology now and out of stock anywhere I looked. I still love to fly Tello...

Tello app crashes on IOS 18

Distance measurement has its quirks as Tello sometimes exagerates quite a bit. Mostly when flying low over trees: Tello's optical flow sees some fast movements but calculates distance covered using the altitude reported by the barometer and not the altitude above the tree branches. So some...

New Tello App from Drone Legends

Its sad DJI closed their STEM department instead of creating a simple SDK for the DJI Neo. Its form factor, weight, enclosed props make it fairly safe for kids and far more capable.

New Tello App from Drone Legends

Cool. I just had another look and found someone documented the T1D protocol recently: https://dronelab.dev/posts/gamesir-t1d-controller/

New Tello App from Drone Legends

Cool, I wasn't aware that such a large scale STEM community exists around Tello. Makes sense to address the app issue then. One more thing I noticed: Yaw can have funny values, like -450°. Could make sense in a programming scenario so kids can keep track of rotations but at first sight its...

New Tello App from Drone Legends

Gamesir T1D are a special breed of controller and use their own protocol, which isn't documented anywhere. So the only two supporting apps that I am aware of are the Ryze OEM app and TelloFpv.

New Tello App from Drone Legends

It feels like you are a few years late to the party but: welcome and good luck with the app! Good to see you are adding block development for STEM classes, something that has been missing for a while now. I did a quick test flight on an ancient Pixel 3, here is my 100% biased feedback...

    Tello Head Control

I remember that I implemented headtracking in TelloFpv some years ago. But before I finished tweaking the PIDs life got in the way and headtracking has never been released. Maybe its time to look into this again as a winter project.

Tello app crashes on IOS 18

Just out of curiousity: Does the drone inform you that IMU needs calibration or what is the reason for you doing this? I know compass & IMU are daily chores with larger and especially drones from the early days like Bebop, Phantoms, early Mavics and such but apart from those I have never done a...

Tello app crashes on IOS 18

I never released the IMU calibration. I bricked an old & worn Tello while testing the calibration procedure and figured this would become a nightmare to deal with. Gravity calibration OTOH is available in TelloFpv.

Tello app crashes on IOS 18

So far I haven't heard of issues with my TelloFpv app. I can understand that some folks don't like to pay for an app but I guess better than throwing away the drone.

TelloFPV - The app for Tello FPV, Photo, Video

Still here but only from time to time. Tello's firmware is locked, so there is no way to change the video protocol of the drone. One could add some piece of hardware as a man-in-the-middle but thats too heavy, power hungry and would actually increase latency. At least the ESP32 device they...
