After scratch success, lost connection and tello app could not regain control??

I was experimenting with scratch and wrote a little mission program. Worked well initially. Then I wanted to see if the Tello app was able to show video while the mission was in progress.

The tello app would not connect to the tello while scratch was in control. Perhaps not surprising.

BUT.. then the program lost control as well and I could not regain connectivity from either place: tello app or Scratch.

Eventually the low battery warning occurred and then the tello landed without incident.

Any one else experience this?

Any ideas to regain control?

The lesson here: Coding with the Ryze Tello | Heliguy says to put in a separate land step tied to a key press (like the space bar). I charged the battery and everything was OK. I switched off the tello when I was changing from tello app control to scratch control and vice versa. I didn't try to have both the app and scratch connected at the same time fearing that attempting this may have lead to the problem initially.
