Since the Tello is so light (80 gm), FAA Registration is not required.

Does that mean you can fly the Tello in restricted flight zones?

I'm in DC which is basically a no flight zone within 30 mile radius from Reagan International Airport:

No Drone Zone

Here is what the FAA FAQ says:

"These restrictions apply to all unmanned aircraft system (UAS) operations"

Frequently Asked Questions

So does that mean that you can't legally fly the Tello anywhere in DC (except indoors, which is not subject to FAA rules)?

Looking at the regs, i think you would be safe... but i would double check with local authorities first. Its certainly light enough to not require registration
