If you can add basic tracking, and maybe setting a home spot i would totally try this. And adding keyboard mapping.
Would be easier flying with my laptop, and better wifi reach i think.

Oh nice. Keyboard mapping aswell? Have no access to a controller. This will be so fun testing on my laptop when it comes.It's not quite ready for testers yet - but I'll let you know

I've actually moved to go-gtk! This is very much intended as a desktop/laptop application - I think the mobile space is pretty much covered by now.
BTW - I have tried that Qt binding and didn't like it - thoughts here on my blog, and simply using Qt doesn't mean apps can run on desktop and mobile platforms (although elements can be reused).
