I updated my new-in-the-box Tello to FW 01.03.18.03 -- the result is that it fails to launch

The motors spin intensely but there is no liftoff.

Successful calibration of the IMU failed to correct the problem. The failure is with both my android phone and my iOS iPad Mini 4.

I purchased it from DJI via Amazon.

I've requested a pre-paid return label from DJI via Amazon.

Edit: DJI has replied that they have a 30-day free replacement/refund policy for defects, so "don't worry."

Did you recently replace any of your props? If a prop is incorrectly matched to the motor, lift may fail? I , too, uploaded the new firmware without any issues. In fact, the Tello seems to be a little more stable.

Is that an automatic update? I'm still running with

01.03.18.01

No, its not an automatic update. You have to choose to update from the Tello app while connected to the Tello. The above firmware version 01.03.18.01 is current, I believe. If you have that, you must've selected that in the app to obtain it.

I may have. Tello didn't bother to check. They sent me a replacement instead.
