Losing connection

Only today my wee tello started playing up.

it connects to phone ok, either directly or via an extender. I got it to start up,and take off. Then nothing. Video goes black, no control sticks visible, and my ps4 controller is doing nothing. Luckily the drone was inside and all I had to do is catch it then pull the battery out, however normally I fly it outside and I can envisage a lil drone going on a big trip.

has anyone ever seen similar problems? Also, watch out guys incase this problem hits you when your out adventuring.

Ok, I think I solved it. Kinda.

I was using adifferent phone than I usually use for flying. When I used the normal one everything was ok. Maybe the normal one was picking up the wifi and kicking off the one I was trying to use. Pain in the butt but at least I can fly it again now.

most likely the phone was connecting to home wifi ...

Make sure you don't have any settings on that new/other phone for it to try and connect to a wifi network that has internet connectivity.
