I believe this is the best performance of this little bugger that i have ever seen so far.

It can sit in the wind like that and not move a inch it seems.

This video should be on ryse's website for selling them. lol

It is hard to believe that a 80gram done can do that.

And with the new TelloFPV app going around, This is by far the best small video drone for the money out there in my opinion right now.

Take a look for youself.

And to think that I'm afraid to fly with a little breeze!

My Tello dont stays in light breezes. It drifts away.
The last time I flew with a little wind, my cello also drifted ... Most likely it causes the deactivation of the VPS. I believe the moving grass confuses the VPS. or maybe there were other problems that day!
After I flew back to try TelloFPV (no wind) and never any problem!

The videos are exaggerating quite a bit but...

Why not? There are a few little tricks to make it work:
1. speed mode / fast mode required
2. Set Max attitude 25°
3. Textures ground surface with no movable objects (gras, water, etc.)
4 Take off and gain altitude fast
5 when flying make sure you don't go below 2m altitude (as displayed in the telemetry, not real altitude)

Regarding 4+5: Tello reduces it's attitude / tilt angle when flying low. The lower - the worst. When just 40cm above ground it drifts even indoors in its own turbulence.
It seems to turn that off at around 2m altitude.
Thats why it helps if you have a spot that offers some protection against the wind for takeoff and landing. But the actual flying is fun.

Tello can do a maximum speed of just below 10m/s, that is 22mph or 36km/h. Steady winds should be somewhat lower, short stronger gusts are ok. And always fly towards the wind!

The most i flew in was 15-20mph wind and sent it up 100 feet just to see if it would stay there for 10 minutes. And it did very well. believe it used the houses as it's locator instead of grass and other small things. But i'll be, It just sat there for 10 minutes.

was very surprised. I do not recommend doing this of course, But i was willing to lose one of my tellos for science and to test that app ;)

LOL
