Absolutely, for $99 not only flying but the photography. Expect firmware updates. Only downside to me is that it must not have winds- must be calm winds
Yes, I have had a couple of microdrones some time ago. I even made frankenstein quads to improve flight time: moved the internals of a Hubsan H107D ( direct drive) into a Syma X11 (geared drive). Add some special antennas, amplifiers, etc and I could go 600-700m and 12 minutes with a tiny FPV quad. Fun, but fragile and a lot of work.
Now all I need is Tello and a wifi extender (OK, not doing 600m but 200-250m are reliable).
Yes,Tello is by far the best micro drone I have seen.
@PITTA: Anything not required for flying, and even if its just connectors to the other base, will cost flight time and performance.
Also its all about the software both in the quad and the app. I now have a Bebop 2, Dobby and Tello. Dobby has the best camera but is a desaster otherwise mainly due to software.
