Only tello_video example works, no other example does.

Hello, I am running Fedora 29 and installed golang from the repo. Whenever I try to run any of the examples that fly the drone, nothing happens, but I can run the tello_video example without issue. I connect to the tello wifi just fine and the lights on the tello go green when I connect. I don't see anything wrong or odd so I am hoping someone else may be able to help me. Here is the output when I run the basic tello.go example:
$ go run tello.go

After that nothing happens until I kill the process. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry I figured it out... I needed to activate the drone using the phone app. After that I can now fly via GO examples.

I will leave this here in case anyone else has this issue.
