Tello drone extremely hot

Hello Tello drone pilots
Great news I got my first drone and was out flying it to day to get the hang of it and doing pretty well, loved it. That was the good news.

Bad news I came in to recharge the drone and it got extremely hot so I plugged it out took the battery out and let it cool down for 15 minutes.

I have put the battery back in and reconnected the charger and there is nothing. No blue light indication and it gets really hot again.

So I have been advised to get it replaced

Has anyone else had this problem with extreme heat

Sounds to me like you got stuck with a bad battery from the start. Thing is shorting out or something. I would not mess with it anymore as they have a nasty habit of going nuclear if shorted out. (Just check some e-cigarette forums to see what I mean.) Perhaps you can get a replacement from where you got it.
