Looks like DJI cesed to sell the Tello on the website. Neither the solo package, nor the boost combo is available. They stopped selling batteries month ago, so as long as some sellers (amazon, RC hobby shops) have something on stock, we can buy, but that´s it.

Unfortunately, I think you are correct. Batteries for Tello, which are still available, are a lot more expensive now than they used to be. I had considered buying a new battery but decided against it. Out of my 4 batteries, one no longer holds a charge and the other 3 only get about 7 minutes of flight time.

The same thing happened to my old Spark when it was discontinued - batteries became hard to find and the prices where almost double the original cost.

The price on the batteries is a joke. 25€ for a battery... Knowing, that another drone, the Aquila16 uses the same battery (3,8V, 1100 mAh) costs 22€ for 2 batteries. But, whatever, I have 8 batteries. 4 has lower power, but still 5-6 min flight time, another 4 are like new.

You never know, maybe they will find a few more boxes in some corner of a warehouse. DJI has been out of stock multiple times over the last year, so this could be the end or just another suply chain hickup.

For those in Germany urgently looking for one there is currently an unused, still sealed Iron Man Edition available at Kleinanzeigen.de, asking 55 Euro. From my experience the batteries survive storage very well and being an Iron Man edition it has the old VPS system with better low-light capabilities.
I asked the seller for photos and it looks like a brand new sealed box - but after checking all my boxes & drawers I decided that I have enough Tellos for a few more years.

However I am also running low on good batteries, only two left plus a few weak ones.

I think this is pretty much the situation, as it was with the Spark, when the Mavic Mini was released. The DJI quietly finished the drone. The Neo is available, so no need for another basic mini drone.IMG-20221221-WA0002.jpgIMG_20240908_123205.jpg

Hello ,

Following this thread and a few another. I decided to order some of the Auqila Batterries mentioned above and Act like Frankenstein ;)

I had managed to solder the Aquila Lipos to the Tello casings. It snug fits and work like a charm. Flight time is 12+ Minutes Like the Original Lipos.
You Must solder back the original BMS on the new Lipos.

Do it at your own Risk. I take no responsibility for any Fire hazard or lifethreatening things that can occur as result of this modification!

Good idea. The aquila16 has the same parameter batteries, like the Tello

I was able to order the lipos cell from AliXpress at a reasonable cost, and rebuilt a dead Tello battery. Back to 12 min fly time (12 minutes and one second on 4 test flights so far)

Maybe you can find some replacement, I knew one supplier DEFNOCO can produce the battery campatable with Mavic Series.
