hi got my tello for Christmas it is my first drone. Got it set fine but when flying it seems to be unstable when hovering (not keeping position and gaining or loosing altitude) it also seems to twitch a bit when moving in a strength line. Done gravity calibration and think it’s got the latest update. Any advice on how to fix or does it sound faulty as in all the videos of iv seen they look to be very stable and easy to fly

indoors with good light and some easily recognized patter on the floor the drone should hover in place. Moving maybe 10cm in either direction, unless there is wind / turbulence.
Maybe clean the bottom pinhole camera with a fine soft brush.

Otherwise (if the drone is brand new ) get a replacement.

If the floor is patterned and the indoor light is good it should hover ok. Little corrections are normal.

Outside wind will cause issues, but corrections are normal.

Indoors; plain laminate floors or plain carpets appear uniform to the downwards camera so it just wanders around but not a lot.

Ok have only had it outdoors once but the light wasn’t grate, indoors have laminate floors so that maybe doesn’t help

It sounds like a minefield, but it’s not really. There more light the better, the less wind the better. You have spare propellers and they’re easy to change.

You can always throw some objects on the floor or put a carpet with drawings on it (all with good lights of course), that will add patterns that will help the drone to stay put ;)

1) Check props for any damage. Swap out. Notch blade on notch motor.
2) IMU calibration in Ryze App.
3) If using a controller, calibrate that.
4) Gravity calibration

And lastly it will never hover rock solid. Spinning four props to hover is a feat of technology. Small adjustments are reasonable- a few cm sometimes. Mostly less.

Is it adjusting or drifting now?
