Interesting... I had presumed with Mini 2, its the controller that talks to the drone (via Occusync) as opposed to Tello where its the Phone doing the talking - so maybey theres a way to use the Mini 2 controller in some sort of "Dummy Mode" to simply talk to Tello via TelloFPV?
Hi @volate!lo,
A freak wave ruined my new Mini 2 and I'm returning to Tello - is there any way to use the Mini 2 controller and its direct connection to Android phone (Pixel 5) to improve my flight control without compromising video with Bluetooth connection (GameSir)?
It seems at least some of your bad behaviors could be attributed to damaged tello's
A slight split in any of the plastic prop guards will cause tello to go nuts randomly. Try different tello's to get a good one or swap props & Guards for new ones (and make sure to firmly press down propellers -...
Hi JacekJagosz,
I could never get telloterm (or my own code using SMerrony's api) to capture photographs. It always responded with (timeStamp) Take Picture echoed with response: <[0]>
Have you tried it with your fork?
Cheers, Rob.
According to many users on this forum - Yes. Otherwise Tello may miss commands altogether.
I use the Gobot implementation at home and most of my commands are punctuated with a minimum of one second of sleep. does your time.sleep(3) refer to 3 seconds or 3 milliseconds?
Sadly a CV based FollowMe requires slow mode and thus only allows walking speeds. Even a jogger is faster than Tello at slow mode - but nevertheless impressive.
Is that to enable stable images to feed into CV?
All is not lost! Same thing happened to me on day one (27m) - I got my cricket player son to hurl unripe manderines at it for 2 days until he knocked it loose one meter at a time. Finally tello was back with no broken bones. Now I have 2 tellos ;-)
