Button conditionals on Tello EDU?

Hi guys:

I have an application where I would like to be able to command the Tello to proceed to a particular location, then when I issue another command, continue to another location, return home, etc.

I have been messing around with the Tello EDU app and I can tell it to "start" and fly to the location with a sequence of moves. I have that figured out. But now I want it to wait for a command (preferably a button on my Android screen of some sort) to tell it to move to the next position. I can insert "if" statements and force it to wait until something becomes equal to something else, but I can't figure out how to make the equality happen. I put in a variable "button" and have a conditional that button must be equal to 1 to continue in the program, but I'm stuck there.

How do I include a button or some sort of action to tell the Tello to make its next move? Can the "start" button be duplicated somehow? You can do it in Scratch, but Scratch is a half-baked nightmare to use.

Thanks for any help.

Don
