Connecting Xbox bluetooth controller on Android Tello App

When Xbox controller is paired to the Android phone (Pixel 4a) - it works fine. I ran test app and can navigate OS.
But it does not work in the Tello App. I have tried unpairing from Android OS, and then go to pair mode on the controller, but Tello App does not see it.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

I only know a few controllers that work via Android Bluetooth with the original Tello app (GameSir T1d, GameSir T1S work).
However, your Xbox controller may work with the ideal Tello app “Tello FPV”, please try the trial version first. Activate the location on your smartphone beforehand.
And if you manage to connect your Xbox controller to the smartphone via OTG cable, you will have a better, more stable image transmission and a longer range.
