DJI Tello vs Ryze Tello for programming in Python

Hello
I have just ordered a DJI (not Ryze) Tello Combo Boost and now someone is telling me I cannot use the djitellopy library with it as it only works with the Ryze version. Should I be cancelling my order and reorder a Ryze (not DJI) for programming using third party Python libraries like djitellopy?

this is confusing and somewhat disappointing.

Who ever told you that is wrong. There is only one type of Tello drone. They are all DJI/Ryze Tello drones.

Ryze / DJI is just marketing. Technically, they are all Tellos.
But there are differences between the Tello models. djitellopy supports all of them, but some SDK features are only available with the Tello EDU / Tello Talent, not with the "normal" Tello. For Python programming, I would strongly recommend the Tello EDU.
