How to test spare Battery?

So I just bought my Tello a week ago, because I wanted one and because My Brother's Tello just went diving to the beach.

Anyway, I was just wondering if there is a great chance that the battery from his old tello is still good to use, and hw I can test it. Right now I'm having second thoughts - but the idea having a spare battery is convincing me to try.

Anybody got any ideas?

If it's been in salt water throw it away

Thanks man. Been waiting for someone to tell me that. Everyone I've asked so far has been telling me to give it a try.
