Rx interface access?

Considering buying a Telo but mainly for hacking/moding hardware. I'm a EE and Quadcopter FPV pilot and would like to start by removing the Wi-Fi control and using a FrSky 2.4ghz link. Is the wifi rx integral to the controller board or is it a separate module?
