Tello Captures the Power of the Resica Falls

Excellent!! Nice, smooth control and transitions. What do you have your "Tune Controls" set at?

With so many water falls in the Pocono Mountain region of Pennsylvania, The Resica Falls often goes overlooked. Part of a Boy Scout reservation, the Resica Falls are a free visit and the Tello drone helped to capture views not possible with a hand held camera.

That's a fantastic job . Do you have any trouble when flying over water ?

Thanks for watching! My setup is as follows but I think my greatest advantage is filming in remote locations far away from WiFi interference.

iPhone SE set to airplane mode with only WiFi turned on.
Xiaomi WiFi repeater 2
EV set in the middle
Bitrate set to auto
Firmware 01.04.91.01
App Version - 1.3.0

Hi 4x4, thank you for watching. I wasn't over the water as much as it appears in the video, there was some land underneath that doesn't show in the clips. However, I was over the water a bit and find that as long as I'm moving somewhere I'm fine. The trouble starts if you want to hover in place as moving water will make the drone try and move with it. So, flying over water is fine if you have a place to go, stopping to hover over moving water can be a problem. I hope that helps.

Thanks! Did you adjust your yaw, pitch, roll and throttle too?

No adjustments to those. The key I think for me is how I use the virtual joy sticks on the app. I place my thumbs over them and only rock my thumbs up and down and side to side. I never try to slide my thumbs over the surface of the phone. Just tilting your thumbs is enough to gently make the Tello move.

Great job!

Thank you for sharing your work and tips.

I'll definitely try tilting my thumb instead of sliding the finger as soon as I get home!
