I changed my VPN from USA to the UK and it installed ?

Do you plan to add buttons forward, backward, right, left. It would be useful as well as top and bottom.

Yes I do.
For now you can make those movements sending text commands like in the screenshot:
type a command like
forward 80
back 60
right 20
left 100
cw 90
ccw 180
And press the SEND button

I wrote a quick guide

Tello Vision 1D Quick Guide

a. Drone connection
a0. Power on your Tello (and the wifi extender iif present)
a1. Put your smartphone in Aero mode
a2. Activate Phone wifi and connect to Tello (or extender) wifi

b. App Setup and Video management
b0. Start Tello Vision 1D
b1. Read and give ok to the Safety Warning
b2. Press COMM to connect the App to Tello
b3. Press VID ON to start video live preview and recording
After few seconds live view will appear on the screen
b4. Press VID OFF to stop video recording at the end of the flight


c. Tello Take off and height setting
c0. Press TKOFF to Take Off
c1. Press GO UP/GO DWN and STOP to set Tello vertical position
c2. Press LAND when you need to land

d. Autopilot modes
d0. SPOTLIGHT: Tello rotates to center detected person position
d1. FOLLOW: Tello rotates to center and goes back/forward to mantain setpoint distance wrt detected person
d2. ORBIT: Tello orbit around detected person
d3 PROFILE: Tello traslates left/right to center and goes back/forward to mantain setpoint distance wrt detected person
d4. SEARCH: used with SPOTLIGHT/FOLLOW/ORBIT puts Tello in rotation until a person is detected.
d5. PARTY: Tello mission is to find persons and take pictures of them

e. Flight Results
e0. Recorded Videos are saved on the DOWNLOAD phone folder
e1. Selfie and autosaved pics are saved on the PICTURES phone folder
e3. Press STATS to see some object detection and tracking statistics

Tello Vision 1D looks extremely promising!

I pressed COMM and then VIDEO
I did not get any video and therefore no object recognition, even after waiting for minutes.
I don't know where Tello Video 1D stores videos, I did not fand a video on my phone.
To see if Tello is connected, I pressed TKOFF. Tello took off and I was able to steer Tello like going up, down, forward, cw,ccw.

With all other apps like Tello FPV, aTelloPilot, TelloMe,... I get the video.

Some information:
I installed Tello Vision 1D last night, so it should be up to date
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S10+ running Android 10
My Tello is a Tello EDU running SDK 2.0
I restarted the phone in offline-mode and enabled WiFi.
I also turned Tello off and on again before trying Tello Vision 1D.

I attach two screenshots, hopefully it helps.

Hi Martin, you are right, there is a bug in the last release of my app. I'll fix it as soon as I can work at my pc. I'll post here when it's solved.

TELLO VISION 1D UPDATED
Finally I released an update with a fix to video problem.
It wasn't a simpe bug,. Google required to update the target sdk to API 29 and video decoder stopped to work,
I changed the decoder library, and now I need to retest everything.
Please give it a try,, your feedback would be very appreciated!

First test: Video works.
Garchen Rimpoche ist always my first test object, recognition works.
