Hi, Newbie here. Almost everyone talks about the Xiaomi WiFi Repeater 2. This seems difficult to set-up. So, will all extenders work the same way? - eg the KuWFi Repeater USB WiFi extender?

What you describe would be an amplifier, and amplifier typically work well only in one direction.Probably yes, becouse it's the extender so it only extend Your signall
An extender is a different beast. It does not just amplify the signal, it receives it, decyphers it, and repeats it (adhering to timing constraints).
Most will work with Tello but some do not, or need special configuration.
