Won't connect to tello app

I was just powering on the tello and connecting the wifi when I noticed that the drone was still blinking yellow. To explain further on what was happening was my phone says the tello is connected. I need help to solve this. this little tello drone means a lot to me.

No. won't show camera feed or battery life nothing.

Reset the Tello, check your app for updates.

Nope. I just confused by the yellow blinking light and that my phone says it is connect.

I'm sure when I first got mine I had to go to the extent of putting the phone in flight mode, then enabling wifi and connecting for it to work. Must have been an update at some point though as I don't need to do that now, but worth a try.

yellow blinking means that no app is connected to Tello. Your phone may be connected to the wifi but the app is not talking to Tello.

If its Android most likely airplane mode & re-actiavte wifi will help

Tried putting it in airplane mode and connecting to wifi then. But it did not work. Still blinking yellow. Should I uninstall the tello app and reinstall it?

Uninstalled the app and reinstalled it then the tello connected ?
