Xiaomi 2 repeater for different devices

Has someone tried to use a Xiaomi 2 repeater not only for the Tello but also for another drone or device?
I have a WIFI camera and would like to extend the range but I remember that the setup took some time and effort.
Has someone tried extending different devices?
Is a new setup every time needed when switching devices or what would work (password is the same)?
Otherwise, I consider buying a second repeater if that saves time and hazzle.
What is recommended?
Preferably something powered by USB, light, small and inexpensive but most important is extending the range.

I've had mine working a WiFi camera off another drone, it does work but you'll be better off buying a second one, cheap enough to get and less hassle than having to set it up again each time

I guess you are right. I needs to re-learn the setup then (and download again the MI App, etc.).

Are there no similar products (USB WIFI range extenders)?
