    I got led off eBay. See photo in this trail. They are designed to plug into usb socket. Yes you can leave plug in whilst swapping batteries. Lights only illuminate after the Tello boots up when it is switched on.

    I got 10 minutes flight in an indoor hover test, I would say on average about one minute reduction in flight time.
