    New app: TelloFPV for Android

Hi. I skipped flying the tello for almost 2 months now. Then yesterday I flew again and must say the fpv app have really grown. Video recording was better than ever and I saw a few extra functions as well. Awaiting my vr headset and battery charging hub today so then I will be fully stocked...

    Hi from sunny South Africa

I'm from richards bay. I hardly fly without the repeater anymore. It's very humid here so just flying of the phone gives you anything from 10 to 30 meters. With the repeater I can venture out 60 to 80m without any significant loss and with video at 3mb s in the Highveld with thin air you should...

    New app: TelloFPV for Android

Lol. One of the first things I asked for was a shutoff button. Better to see it fall out of the sky than to see it fly away. But yes there will always be cry baby's but my opinion is still that it will be better especially if your drone starts drifting towards the ocean. It will be cheaper...

Xiaomi Range Extender and Mi app

The location in south Africa also works. So ansia I hope you have another drone to fly. I'm itching to fly again but the last few weeks have been windy. I carry the tello and a fimi x8 in the company vehicle and hope for a less windy day today so that I can do the setup on the fimi.

¿I need help, buy new tello or choose another drone?

Always keep in mind that the tello have a build in safety mechanism that restricts its speeds if it's lower than plus minus 1.5m. At that height you could probably blow it away yourself. Always try to fly at 2m and higher and you will see that the tello respond better. And if it is outside...

New to Drones - Interested in tips for my 10yo son

You can start by installing and buying the tello fpv app and a bt controller. That way you can use the student and master configuration and your kid then use one controller on student mode and you use the phone on master. If something goes wrong you can then intervene immediately. Also set a low...

Just a little windy and not able to fly?

One stupid thing they could have added was a kill switch so that you could cut the motors in an emergency. The tello is quit strong and will survive a lot of crashes. It is better to pick it up and do some repairs than to go and look for it.

Just a little windy and not able to fly?

Always remember not to fly too low!!! Try to stay at least 2m high. As a safety precaution the tello don't pitch a lot when flying low and a sniff of a wind will send it somewhere else. Once it is higher it will pitch and fight the wind better. And always keep your finger close to the sport mode...

    Gamesir T1s with OTG?

I use the Huawei p smart. 2017/18 model. It's excellent all round but yes. It seems to struggle to differentiate between wifi and bt signals. I can fly with a bt controller with no issues. Then I add the repeater and struggles with interference and lag. But you quickly adapt and now I use otg...

    New app: TelloFPV for Android

A lot of us tested it and it was a flip of a coin situation. It will either work for a while or just simply go in its own direction. So ultimately you could lose your drone. So if this guy say it's not worth it I'll take his word for it.

    Gamesir T1s with OTG?

I'm also using the gamesir but only the 3gs with otg and the tello fpv app. Will not venture near bluetooth again especially if I'm using the repeater as well. Almost lost the tello with a bluetooth controller. It was working fine with just the phone but the moment the repeater was used as well...

    Controller - compatible controllers

I'm using a gamesir g3s wired with the tello fpv app. No problems and also connect with stock tello app via Bluetooth. The fpv app allows the use of multiple controllers and you can assign and adjust sensitivity. I also used a shinecon Bluetooth controller but once I started using the repeater...

    Wifi extender

I usually can go safely 60 to 80 meters with bit rate at 3.0mbs. But there are a lot of milemasters? here who go 600 to 700m with repeaters. I can probably go towards 200m plus but I'm not brave enough and also prefer to keep it in sight as well. But the biggest advantage with the repeater is...

Tello connects to WIFI but app says not connected.

Try and make sure the wifi + is not on. It may be called something else on different handsets. This is from a Huawei p smart

Tello connects to WIFI but app says not connected.

I usually put my phone in airplane mode and then turn on wifi. That way you eliminate all unwanted signals. Android phones also have a function where it will switch data transmission to the mobile network if the wifi, s internet is not strong enough and I think that causes some issues. Putting...
