    Thanks for all your help. Now I have both phones hooked up. The thing that I forgot was that TelloFPV takes a minute or so to find new controllers. Using the gametester app helps to know if it is hooked to the phone.

    Good news! I wanted to test more to give you an accurate explanation. My original testing was on my Galaxy S8 and a wired connection did not show up a as controller in TelloFPV or in an app called gametester. My new test was on my Galaxy S5 and the wired connection showed up in gametester but...

    Is it possible to set up a mesh WIFI network to extend the flying range?

    It would be interesting to fly through the entire house, room to room, and a mesh network might allow it. Has anybody tried it?

    Does anybody know of a OTG cable long enough to use with a Gamesir t1s and a galaxy s8 with the phone in a VR headset?

    It would be nice to fly in a VR headset with a OTG cable connection to the Gamesir T1s instead of using blue tooth. I can't seem to find a 3 foot or 4 foot cable that works. Any ideas?

    I bought this for flying in my backyard - TP-Link AC1750 Wifi Extender. It has better support on hooking it up and is powerful enough to overcome most WiFi issues. But, it has the same steps as the other two extenders we talked about. Keep trying the Tello is a great little drone.

    It takes a while to find the WIFI sources. Keep the Tello close to the page. I suggest that you use a computer with Chrome to set this up. You may need to refresh the page a time or two before it sees the Tello's WIFI.

    BigL has the key. The name of the network is odd. Open your wifi connections and then power up the extender. Keep your eyes open for a new network as your wifi refreshes.

    Yes it shows up. Try the following procedure: In windows 10 open chrome, plug in extender and open extender in wifi selections. This will open a window in crome where you select the tello and the program sets up tello-xxxx_plus. Click on finish.

    Your welcome. Let me know how it goes. Since it looks like they're going to discontinue the Xiaomi WiFi Repeater 2, I tested the TUOSHI USB WiFi Range Extender and had just as good results. And they are a lot easier to set up.
