    I guess I should say I'm connecting a wireless controller via a USB C cable, through a USB to USB C adapter... so basically, male USB C into the controller, to standard male USB, to standard female USB, too male USB C, to phone.

    Will do. That brings up another question... is VPS IR based? Could replacing that IR emitter with a brighter unit help with VPS function without the need for a light mod? Or perhaps using a mounted IR to supplement instead of a visible range light?
