Atellopilot app

I recently got the Atellopilot app. Can't get to work with Essential Phone running Android Pie. Can't seem to get it to connect to drone or T1D or Flypad controllers. Any suggestions?

So your phone doesnt connect to the Tello or controller?
My brother's Pixel with Android Pi works great, so I know it's not an OS issue. Perhaps the phone peripherals?

My Pixel1XL wouldn't connect until I turned on USB debugging in the developers section. Now works great.

Because the developer build it in his spare time and such an app is months of effort.
If you want a free app use the official Tello app by Ryze.
