Distance Measuring

Hi,

I have just ordered my Trello and will then see how I can use gocv to do thing on my Mac. I recently ported this to a RPi 3 and it does work but not as well as on a Mac.

Having the drone follow me by identifying my face (seen that has been done) and then following me as I move would be cool. I came across this very simple method to detect distances and was wondering if anyone is working on something like this?
