Got Tello for christmas, acts like a paperweight.

Hey guys, brand new to this forum. I got a Tello for christmas (new in box) and went to plug it into a usb cable to charge it, and nothing happens. No blue light, no red light, no light at all. I tried different cables with no luck (cables i use every day for my clock and camera.) It is worth noting that the belly of the quad will get warm if plugged into a usb with the battery in it.

Any advice appreciated! Thank you!
