Hello from Germany

Hi,

My Name is Michael , just bought the Tello last week. The Tello is my fun Drone beside my other RC Planes, Helicopters and DiY Quads. I´m a model hobbyist for over 15 years now.
Would like to share my experiences and probably foundings to the community if i can do so.

Hi Michael, I recently purchased the Tello and other than connection issues with my phone, it seems to work well. I will be traveling to Germany in July and was thinking of taking a Tello as a gift for the family we will be staying with. Do you know if a Tello purchased in the United States would be compatible with a phone used in Germany? Thanks!

Afaik, there is only one version of Tello available world-wide, so you should be good.

Hi,
why not? The Tello creates his own Wifi Hotspot that will not be involved in things like "geolocking" or something. So any Device who runs the app can be used with the Tello

I only asked because I was reading that WiFi is slightly different in other countries. For example: List of WLAN channels - Wikipedia

However now that I think of it, when we had a German exchange student visit, she didn't have any problems connecting to WiFi so I think you are correct, it shouldn't be a problem. Thanks!
