Lost Two Tellos

Greetings from South West Florida!
I love the Tello drone! I have received and lost two of them.
First one I received for Christmas. it lasted one week. I decided on a Sunday evening and it was lost in a neighbors yard. Do not flay at night without first adding lights.
The second one I received as a gift from my wife who saw how much i missed the first Tello.
It was awesome, I was smarter and didn't fly at night.
I did however get a nice usb powered wifi extender and stuck it on my roof!
I COULD FLY SO FAR! It was awesome, untill it wasn't.
I have ordered a mavic mini.....
Plan to purchase a new Tello and fly it how it was made to operate.

Hi there,
I'm also a new Tello pilot since Christmas, and I've just bought a WiFi repeater, IT's about to arrive.
I don't want to get this drone lost as happened unfortunately with yours, could you share what went wrong with your second Tello, using this WiFi extender?

I was flying too fast with a breeze in a residential neighborhood over houses.
Wi-Fi extender helped out a lot.
Helped with my video quality.
But lost signal for a second by going too fast a little too far.
It landed , couldn't find it.

My Tello was returned!!!!
I was flying my new Mavic Mini, guy say me, asked if I has lost a drone. I HAD!!!
it was indeed the FIRST Tello I lost.
Using (trying) the Mavic Mini to locate "SECOND" Tello.

I have used my Mavic mini to continue and look for my lost tello. Just for fun really.
