Powering 8266 of tello

Hello there.

I try to piggyback an 8266 on my tello (separate thread). I am stuck with a detail: I want to power the 8266 off the battery from my tello. One dude seems to have done it like in the picture below. I have the issue, that the mini USB does not have any power when flying. What do I do wrong? Any ideas where I can get 3,3v or 5v on the PCB of the tello? Any soldering points directly connected to the battery?

The usb port on Tello support OTG. Use an OTG cable or make one yourself (search on the web) you can make it output 5V from the port.

I have the issue, that the mini USB does not have any power when flying.

It does if you use an OTG adapter.

This is the smallest one I've ever seen, it slips into a male USB-A connector:
