He swapped them from a cheap drone he had. He says the name of the drone in the video. IMO, I'm waiting for someone here to find a way to customize the Tello with brushless motors. A Tello Pilot came so close to achieving this feat. Perhaps, we can all find an engineer who can volunteer to help and then motivate that OP who almost figured out how to mod the Tello with brushless motors.

That was interesting Ken. I was thinking they would spin a little slower with more lift being produced with three props. But perhaps that is being countered by the fact that they are a shorter prop. ?

Tello motors and props were designed on purpose to match each other.
You should only change props if the motor temperature and RPMs during hover are similar. Otherwise you'd risk premature death of the motors.

I found a site about changing to wireless motors. & U need a controller for that & the wireless uses 3 or 4 wires. (I 4got) Brush motors only need 2 wires. Then decided to do other Mods that were easyer.
