Tello firmware analysis

Has anyone performed or know of any work on analyzing the firmware that goes on the actual drone? I have read about the development and the reverse engineering of the protocol from this forum, but I haven't seen anyone analyze the actual firmware yet.

I found a github repo that contains some firmware images: https://github.com/MrJabu/RyzeTelloFirmware but can't find any actual analysis.

Is there ANY way to unlock the SDK speed cap?

I'm doing a project where I will make the Tello EDU catch a ball when tossed one (with a a cup on top and motion capture). My issue is, the SDK's cap of 1m/s is a huge detriment to the area I can feasibly catch in. Is there any way to uncap the speed? I don't know how much hacking of the...
