The right plastic one was manufactured earlier than the cardboard box.
I'd buy the plastic one. DJI changed the VPS camera in later models and it became worse with the newer versions, check

No worries about an old battery: Earlier this year I purchased two Iron man editions from 2019 and both batteries are still in perfect shape.
