Thanks to you all. I didn't tell you that I did get it working, but one of the motors/props was not turning so as soon as I took off it flipped over and stopped. This was an open box purchase, (the only option when I bought it in March 2025). Support was great, they sent me a label and I sent it back. Got another about 13 days later.
Tello works fine, however this time they sent me a defective 3 battery charger, so I can only charge one at a time in the
Tello.
I still have a weird thing happening when connecting the
Tello to my Pixel 8a, it seem that every time - I have to turn Airplane mode ON, try connecting, it doesn't work, then turn it OFF and then it works. I have only successfully test flown it once for about 2 minutes. I am now charging one battery at a time in the
Tello and then I'll continue testing after I have all 3 batteries fully charged.
Tello did shut off on me after I landed with a overheated warning on the app when I was just looking around the app with
Tello still turned on.
I am going to have to write down every step that works when connecting successfully. By the way Quaddamage, I do have the
Tello User Manual v1.4. I re-read my post and what I meant to say was that I "downloaded" the firmware update, not "do the firmware update".
I did mention about the Airplane mode to support when I emailed them back today. This doesn't make any sense to me because Airplane Mode disables ALL wireless connections, not just internet connections. Can someone explain?
