PC motherboards will usually only take one type of RAM as the connectors are different. Why do you have a choice of
6Gb DDR2 against 4GB DDR3. Are these maximum values of some sort? I'm puzzled, more information needed!

Well i just wanna know cuz my mobo supports both so i have 6 gb ddr 2 and 4 gb ddr3 and i wanted to ask which is better

DDR3 should be twice as fast as DDR2 for the same clock speed so that is the 'best '. DDR2 is rather out of date now.

If the motherboard allows you to add two banks of RAM then 8Gb of DDR3 is probably better than 12GB of DDR2.

However if those are maximum supported values then for a 64bit OS 6GB of DDR2 may be better than 4GB of DDR3 as it gives a bit more headroom for apps before it starts paging.

Ok thank you sooo much
Thats all i wanted to know.
