Be advised If you want to fly over the trees. VPS will failed, and Tello will drift away, make sure you set your home position, and quickly press home button when it says VPS failed.

How to set home position ? Can it done in OS format ?

As soon as vps failes rth does nothing because tello no longer knows its whereabouts.

But I did! It says vps failed, and I push the home button and you see it change to sportmode and back.

Never try on OS, butnon Android just hold the home button a few seconds.

Yes it changes to sport mode if you have that setting activated. But it will not engage the rth autopilot without receiiving vps data.

Well actually i could do a rough RTH maneuver if IMU data is still reported, but currently i don't.

I like it !

An RTH emergency maneouver when no vGPS available by using IMU would be a great safety improvement, even if it don't works perfect
