Do you need a permission/authorization from DJI/Ryze for developing iOS apps for Tello?

I am an app developer. I have an iOS app for Tello already released in App Store. Recently when I submit a new version for review. My app was rejected by Apple and request an approval of the authorization from Tello. Any body got same issue? Your advice will be highly appreciated.

My request for an authorization letter was ignored by Ryze.

I just kept escalating at Apple and spoke to several review teams. It took me almost 3 months to get TelloMe approved for app store. I have no idea why they finally decided to accept it.

Tello is not a DJI product, it is made by Ryze Tech Co. Ltd. Theoretically it is their permission you need.

Hi agraham, yes, you are right. I am trying to reach Ryze Tech now, and let's see if I can get lucky.

Ryze should be paying you! Your Tello FPV app is so much better than Ryze's OEM Tello app. Pretty sure that is the opinion of anyone who has tried both apps.
