Don't fly at night

I had to try it out of curiosity, my Spark is quite fun as the light fades.

I expected visual positioning not to work, but it wouldn't even hold altitude, effectively falling out of the sky.

Bit scary!

Hmmm.... isn't the visual positioning what also maintains altitude on the Tello?

Mine acts a little wonky indoors if I don't turn on the lights so I can imagine it would be much worse in the dark.

I often fly in my basement that has dimmable lights. If the lights are low you get a warning and a code. My little tello wanders all over the place and has troubles. I'd suggest cranking the lights up if you are going to fly indoors.

PS I can tell you that your Tello will not like dark monochrome carpet in low light conditions. But if you have it over carpet that is colorful and has design it does much better.
